A Brief ReviewOf The Motorola MH230R 23-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio

I'm certain many of you have a time when you have to keep in touch with people if you're out hunting in a group or a group of people go fishing in several boats. These radios can be used for many things and can actually help when you need to know where an individual is.

I am going to share with you how the Motorola MH230R 23-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio helps us on our Lake Champlain yearly fishing expeditions. We rent an 8-bedroom house and we ordinarily have between 6 and 10 boats that we bring with us, we can have up to 20 people going on this trip each year. Getting everyone to come in for lunch or dinner was nearly impossible because of the size of the lake and since people didn't like brining their mobile phone in the boats, (that's another story). We would essentially row around the lake, often for hours, trying to find everyone and tell them it is time to eat.

Then a couple of years ago, I decided that I would buy a few walkie talkies and put them in the boats. During my search I came across the Motorola two way radios and purchased 4 of them to find out how they worked. I kick myself for not purcahsing more radios to start with since they worked really well. We didn't lost contact with the boats that had a two-way radio, of course I didn't have enough radios for every boat so we still would lose people. As these radios worked really well, as soon as we got home I went out and purchased more so we would have enough for every boat that we brought with us. This was a really terrific thing because the following year my uncle's boat broke down and wouldn't start and the fact that he was approximately 3 miles away from the camp meant that we would have had a tough time locating him. But since he had a two-way radio in his boat he merely called us and we went out and got him. If he couldn't have gotten in touch with us, he would have had to row back roughly 3 miles.

These two-way radios have always worked. As I noted earlier, these two-way radios have a 23 mile range and have a charging station so you don't have to worry about spending a lot of money on batteries. Team National You can even be updated on the weather with the weather band that these two-way radios come with.

And the uses of these two-way radios are nearly endless. On a trip to Disney, my mother took the two-way radios with her as she was bringing 6 of the grandkids on the trip with her. Her fear was that one of the children would get separate and be lost. While no one went missing, that was actually an outstanding idea she had.

Some of my family members even use them when they are going hunting in a big group to let others know when they are leaving. Team National You have no idea what a time saver this can be unless you have ever been walking around the woods trying to locate a person you can't find, merely because they got cold and decided to go home.

There are a few of different headsets that can be used with these two-way radios which we purchased after the fact for our hunting trips. These two-way radios come with 22 channels and 121 privacy codes, which means that you actually don't have to worry about other people with the same type of two-way radios to be listening in on your conversations.

These two-way radios are very low-cost at $39.95 for a pair when bought through Amazon.com. While I have only shared a couple of different ways that we have used the two-way radios, I am certain you can think of a lot more ways that you could put these radios to use.
